STOCK PLANS
A stock plan is a pre-made design that may be purchased by multiple people. It was designed to appeal to the overall needs we see in the building world. Stock plans are an excellent source of inspiration and a lot of our clients find something they love.
Can you modify one of our stock plans? YES! If you feel like a design is very close to what you're dreaming of but need a couple of "tweaks" this option is great for you.
CUSTOM DESIGN SERVICES
Back Forty Buildings offers custom design services. This is for our clients that are looking for a full-service experience. We work with you to create a plan that you love down to the last detail.
What if I need a builder?
Here some tips for locating a builder in your area. You need to verify yourself that a builder’s quality and practices are best suited for your project. Any recommendations by MR Post Frame or Back Forty Buildings are not guaranteed.
1. NFBA
We are members of the National Frame Builders Association (NFBA). It is a dedicated post frame construction organization. You can search by state to see what companies serve your area.
2. Local lumber yards
A local lumber supplier may serve its local post frame builders. They can potentially help you find out who might be a good fit for your project.
3. Local post frame building suppliers
These are different from your big name post frame suppliers/builders. They only supply materials and local builders come to them. They often have good feedback on who is worth contacting and even who you might want to avoid.
4. Back Forty Buildings Contractor Locator
While there are wonderful builders that have websites, social media accounts, etc. Some of your best builders can be small crews that don’t have an online presence. Relying on your local sources to find them can often result in a quality crew that will give you the desired results.
