Interor Framing | Part 7 | Second Floor 2

Updated: May 14

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share with you all the progress I've made today. It's been a busy day, but we managed to accomplish quite a bit. We started off by building a cardboard fort for the kids, complete with doors and windows. It was a fun little project to get us going.

But then, I decided to tackle something bigger - a wall that runs the entire length of the room. I had a 20-foot section to work with, so I got started right away. Setting it up and securing it together took some time, but I was determined to get it done.

Throughout the day, I had the kids with me while my wife managed other tasks.

Despite the interruptions, I managed to make progress. By mid-afternoon, I had the wall up, dividing the space into separate rooms. It was starting to take shape, and I could see the layout forming.

One thing I had to consider was the dimensions of the closets. Making sure they were the right size for the drywall took some careful planning and measuring. But once I had everything mapped out, I was able to start putting the pieces together.

Building the closets was just the beginning. From there, I moved on to framing out the rest of the rooms. It was a meticulous process, making sure everything was square and secure. But with each wall I put up, I could see the space coming together more and more.

One thing that really helped was using chalk lines to mark out the walls on the floor. It made it so much easier to see where everything needed to go. And when it came time to lift the walls into place, I knew they were going to fit perfectly.

Of course, there were a few hiccups along the way. Like when I realized the new two-by-fours I bought were the wrong length. But I didn't let it slow me down. I just made the necessary adjustments and kept moving forward.

By the end of the day, I had finished framing out the entire upstairs. It was a huge milestone, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. There's still plenty of work to do, but I'm feeling good about the progress we've made so far.

Thanks for following along on this journey with me. If you're interested, we have a Facebook page where you can keep up with all the latest updates. And be sure to stay tuned for more videos as we continue to work on this project and others in the future.
