Post Frame Steel Install | Final tips

Hey there, folks! Welcome back to the Mad County Bill series, and guess what? We've reached part 5, the final episode of the metal madness! I'm pumped, and I hope you are too. Now, I know, metalwork might not sound like the most thrilling thing ever, but trust me, there are tons of little details that could come in handy, especially if you're building a house with a bunch of windows and whatnot. So, let's dive right into it!

First off, good morning! It's a chilly, snowy day out here, but that won't stop us from getting all these steel details sorted. Now, I ran into a snag with the trim – it wasn't long enough, so I've got to reorder. Fun times, right? Anyway, let's get this show on the road.

So, today's mission: getting that wainscot trim in place. Now, cutting those inside corners can be a bit tricky, but fear not, I'll walk you through it step by step. Measure, mark, and snip – that's the name of the game!

Next up, tackling those outside corners. It's all about precision cutting and bending to get that seamless look. Trust me, it's like crafting a work of art with steel!

Ah, and let's not forget about protecting those vulnerable spots, like around the doors. A little bit of aluminum here, a touch of silicone there, and voila – water-resistant and looking sharp.

Now, onto the nitty-gritty – customizing those corner pieces. Yeah, it's a bit of a puzzle, but with a little bit of finessing, we've got it sorted.

And then there's the matter of that bottom trim. Gotta keep that water at bay, folks! A little extra effort now saves a whole lot of headache later.

Alright, fast forward, and we've got those doors looking slick! It's all about the details, folks – those little trim screws make all the difference. And hey, don't forget the silicone – it's like the cherry on top!

And just like that, two doors down, two to go! It's been a journey, folks, but we're almost there. I can't thank you enough for sticking with me through all the twists and turns of this metalworking adventure.

And hey, if you haven't already, hit that subscribe button! Let's keep this community growing and thriving. I'm dedicated to making this series the ultimate resource for anyone dreaming of building their own post frame homes.

So, stay tuned, folks. The next phase – tackling the interior – is just around the corner. From framing to finishing touches, we've got it all covered. Share the love, spread the word, and I'll catch you on the flip side for the next episode of the Mad County Bill series! Cheers!
